Sam Rogers has become a vocal opponent of what he considers an “endless war,” after serving eight years in the U.S. Army and three tours in Afghanistan as an interrogator and intelligence officer. Once he left the Army, he began advocating for greater accountability and public involvement in military affairs, including a withdrawal from Afghanistan. Today he is the coalitions director with the Concerned Veterans for America in Wisconsin (CVA-WI), where he raises awareness about veterans issues, including burnout, broken families, PTSD and problematic transitions back to civilian life. He’s especially interested to see more military experience translate to college credit at universities such as the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where Sam got a bachelor’s degree in U.S. law.
